Technology has changed over the last 20 years, but Paul's passion for
signmaking has not. It is as strong now as it was when he was introduced to the
sign world in 1984. Seeking a new employee, due to losing a valuable one, Mr.
Walter R. Prokop, owner of Prokop Sign Company, makes some phone calls and gets
a recommendation from the honorable Fine Arts Department at Norwich Free
Academy. Soon after, Paul Benoit becomes his new right hand man.
Over the next twelve years, Paul became a key part to the company's
success and the catalyst behind Prokop's reputation as the area's truck
lettering specialist. Paul was also the creator of hundreds of designs
which convincingly became company logos. Drive around town or thumb through some
newspapers, his work will be there. Ironically, Paul is now the owner
of the sign shop in the very same location.
He has received many honorable mentions and awards and has
been labeled as one of the area's best designers. He is the proud owner of a
"superior portfolio" as described by the Dean of Peir College of The Arts in New
Haven, Connecticut.
